Over 170 Year 7 students from the Derby High School marvelled at the Magna experience as they embarked upon a day of exploration and adventure. Magna is sited on a huge former steelworks and has amazing pavilions dedicated to Air, Earth, Fire and Water. Each pavilion had a fantastic array of scientific exhibits that made the trip an engaging, interactive and action packed experience. The students explored these with enthusiasm as these really did show science is fun and left them wanting to know more. Students were also able to fully participate in the ‘Kitchen Sink’ science show that demonstrated the wonders of simple experiments.
The full day experience was a great opportunity for to be excited by the power of science in action!
