Year 9 Students are revelling in the opportunity of participating in the Recall Project. The third session, at Abraham Moss Community School was an enthralling mix of learning the poem Emigree via singing and playing instruments but the highlight was a huge array of all the students performing powerful drama scenes that captured the sights, sounds and emotion that the poem Exposure evoked.
Recall project is an innovative project involving The Derby High School, Abraham Moss Community School, Falinge Park High School and St Ambrose Barlow RC High School. Its aim is to equip students with exciting ways and techniques of learning the GCSE set poems so that these students can then act as leaders and mentors to inspire others in years 10 and 11.
This is a superb way of bringing schools together, to inspire each other and bring poetry to life.
