The Derby High School Senior Prefects were privileged to have an audience with Patrick Harrison Director of Reputation Management and Strategic Media Relations, Weber Shandwick.
The presentation focused on the qualities of leadership as Patrick drew on his own experience and that of other great leaders. The audience was spellbound as he recounted his journey form journalism to PR rising to take up the role of Prince Charles Press secretary. A post that he held for 11 Years. He played a key role in enhancing the Royal Family’s reputation and encouraging a proactive approach to media relations. He led the communications teams for the 2005 and 2011 royal weddings.
Patrick spoke of his desire to inspire the next generation of young women to be CEOs because currently they are underrepresented. He stressed the importance of breaking stereotypes.
The importance of giving back to society was also stressed. This was a very special visit that will leave a lasting impression on all those who witnessed it. A truly memorable opportunity!
