Girls Football Team displays resilience

Resilient and resourceful are words that capture the spirit shown by our Under 13 Girls Football Team as they stormed their way to third place in the Bury Schools’ Football Tournament. All of them played every minute of every game, as they showed grit and determination for five match ups! Captain Thaminah Gopal marshalled the team superbly, allowing Kaylee Parr to shine as The Derby’s top player.

Iman Tanzeal and Areej Akram scored fantastic goals and were always hungry for more. Their drive to succeed was laudable and we look forward to more encounters in the near future.
