The Derby High School is celebrating the huge success of its class of 2017! The hardworking students ensured that the school has risen to the top of the Progress 8 league table for Bury Schools. Progress 8 is a key government measure used to identify top performing schools. It is critical that students accelerate in their progress after leaving primary school to achieve their full potential. The Derby achieves this, challenging and motivating students to be the best they can be.
Only the dedication of committed staff, a well-balanced curriculum and a philosophy that maximises fantastic educational experiences could culminate in such an outstanding achievement.
Delighted Headteacher Helen Hubert expounded, “This is amazing! Last year’s progress scores were good but to top the table this year is phenomenal! I cannot thank my staff enough for the drive and determination they demonstrated in ensuring that our students pushed themselves to achieve their very best. Our students made the most of the support we offered and embraced the challenge.”
The Radcliffe Road School is looking to build on its fantastic record as it welcomes its new applicants for September 2018.
