Our year 10 students enjoyed a superb follow up session to their Bletchley Park trip as Natasha Riley, Outreach Officer from Bletchley, ran a Polyalphabetic Cypher session at Falinge Park High School. This is a cipher based on substitution, using multiple substitution alphabets.
The students worked brilliantly on the workbook and the session was fast paced. They achieved some fantastic results. Students also saw a demonstration of the Enigma Machine used by the Germans in World War Two. The students were unanimous in their appreciation and application of the mathematics involved in the session. A superb opportunity.
