The Derby High School is the venue for a spectacular concert on Wednesday 16th October at 7:30pm. The Royal Regiment of Lancashire Fusiliers Band and Corps of Drums and The Derby High School Concert Band will perform as well as the amazing Encore choir, The Derby’s newly formed enthusiastic Inspire Choir and the highly talented Greenhill Primary School Choir in a feast of musical excellence.
The event will be a superb evening, that also celebrates The Derby’s Chair of Governors Colonel Eric Davidson. The bands played together several years ago and it is fantastic to see the other acts complimenting them this year.
Tickets are priced at £4 for Adults and £1 for concessions with half the proceeds going to Bury Hospice. We hope to have a huge audience allowing as many members of our community to experience this festival of entertainment.
Mrs Provoost Director of Arts said: “Yet again we have the privilege of this combination of excellence. This is also an amazing way to celebrate our school at the high point of our success, having just been awarded Arts Mark Platinum”
Mr Holt Head of The Expressive Arts was elated: “It is such a fantastic experience for our musicians to share the stage with outstanding performers and this event promises to be a musical spectacular that will provide an experience that the students will remember for the rest of their lives! We are all very excited to perform at this event”
