The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Lancashire) and Corps of Drums played to a sell out audience at The Derby High School in a breathtaking programme of stunning performances. The concert to celebrate the Chair of Governors Colonel Eric Davidson optimized the blend of The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Lancashire) and Corps of Drums, Greenhill Choir, Encore Choir, Inspire Choir, The Derby Concert Band and several solo performances in an unforgettable evening.
Remembering Colonel Davidson’s work and his speech brought the audience to their feet. Half the proceeds of the concert are being donated to Bury Hospice and Paul Horrocks was delighted to be present at the event on behalf of Bury Hospice.
Assistant Headteacher Mrs Provoost said:
“We are committed to creating enriching, community experiences with our students so that they understand and value their community. It was a tremendous privilege to host so many wonderfully talented musicians. We were particularly delighted to have so many alumni performing alongside our present students.”
The performers put their heart and soul into the concert, much to the joy of the audience. This was something that those having the confidence and desire to perform will inspire them to go on to even greater heights.
