Last week was an exciting time for our hopeful chefs as they battled it out in their quest to win the ‘Young Chef’ competition. The hopeful students had to compete in a heat held at The Derby, overseen by expert judges from The Rotary Club and the Marriott Hotel in Manchester.
They had the challenge of preparing a two-course meal in 90 minutes. Mariyah Muhammad managed to overcome the pressure to triumph on Monday, with Alex Hindle as runner up. On Wednesday the winning honours went to Jake Hughes with Amy NcNicol as runner up
Both our winners will now be looking forward to the greater challenge that lies ahead in 2020 at Bolton.
