A selection of students from Year 7 and Year 10, who were involved in the Christmas Hamper Collection for the Grundy Day Care and the paired reading scheme, thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Wellington Road centre. Spread across three rooms, they read a selection of books, explained what their role in school was and what activities they did, as well as discussing a variety of issues with those in the centre.
It was a joy to see the different generations interacting with each other. It is crucial that our students are involved in the community and understand the great things that are going on in Bury.
This was a valuable experience enabling out students to develop their social skills and see what fabulous benefits can be reaped. Well done to all those students who took part in this!
