Bury College

Applications for courses starting Sept 2020:

Bury College is accepting new online applications now and conducting interviews by telephone for courses starting in September 2020

Resources to help support the transition to College:

Be Bury College Ready’ website portal, is a new development which has been designed to engage and inspire Year 11 pupils and support them as they transition from school to college.

From reading lists and workbooks, these resources will give individuals a head-start to their studies and provide them with tasks, reading lists and useful information that they can complete prior to them starting at Bury College in the next academic year.

Holy Cross College

Advanced Level Transition Materials

New students starting at Holy Cross in September can now access materials relating to each of their chosen subjects via their Admissions portal.  The work is designed to support your transition to advanced level study as you move on from your GCSEs.

To access the work please use the link here: https://applications.holycross.ac.uk/  You will need to enter the e-mail you used to set up your application and your password.  Then just click on each subject in turn to access individual course material.

The Football College

The Football College based in Bury is also taking applications for September. It combines education with football and offers two courses:

National Citizen Service

Due to Covid-19 National Citizens Service’s plans for this summer are having to undergo major alterations. Interested as a career as a nurse?

Want to work in a variety of exciting clinical settings including Primary Care, Secondary Care and Aeromedical Evacuation? You could become an RAF Student Nurse and get paid whilst undertaking a fully funded BSc (Hons). After graduation, RAF Registered Nurse pay is equivalent to NHS Band 7 and you will receive a fully supported clinical rotation programme with options to undertake fully funded specialist courses.
