Admissions
To be able to apply for a place in a Bury school, you must be resident in Bury. If you live outside Bury, you must apply through your home authority.
The deadline for applying for a secondary school place is 31 October 2025. If you apply after this date, it can severely reduce your chances of obtaining a place at our school.

Once you have been given notification that you have a place at the Derby High School please email the school at transitions@thederbyhighschool.co.uk or phone 0161 764 1819 to accept your child’s place.
As part of our transition process your child will be visited at their primary school by one of our transition team.
