Health Information
Dirty air is major cause of ill health and early death in our communities. In towns and cities, road vehicles are the main source of air pollution, and this can contribute to a wide range of illnesses and conditions, including lung and heart diseases, some cancers, strokes and asthma too.
The most vulnerable in society including children and older people are the hardest hit
In Greater Manchester we have launched a campaign to raise awareness of the health impacts of poor air quality and also to advice on the actions people can take to protect themselves and to help to reduce pollution. We would be very grateful if you could please help us with this campaign by sending out the following messages either through your newsletter or via text to parents: –
