The Derby High School is committed to ensuring that all KS3 students who require additional support with literacy and numeracy can access the curriculum and beyond. Year 7 forms are taught a literacy and numeracy programme each morning during registration. Two Year 8 forms have specialised English and Mathematics teachers attached to them and they follow a specific programme each day. All other KS3 forms follow programmes in literacy and numeracy with their form tutors once a week.
